Now it's time to stick on your EEG electrodes. These will monitor the electrical activity of your brain overnight so we can know when you're awake and asleep (and judge which stage of sleep you're in!).
Take one of the electrodes and stick it to the prepared area directly up from your left eyebrow just below your hairline (if you still have a hairline – sorry, no more bald jokes we promise).
Repeat with the other electrode on the right side.
The left electrode (*left from the patient's perspective) plugs into the F3 port.
The right electrode plugs into the F4 port.
Again, it is important that these connections are not confused.
